The Homework Messenger provides an efficient, communications hub for teachers, parents and the doctor (Lawrence Weathers, Ph.D.) to track a child's behavior and academic performance at school and at home. This helps them coordinate their efforts to help a child behave well and learn fast.

Every effort has been made to make the program as simple, intuitive and elegant as possible. Once you are familiar with it, it should take about one minute per day to make entries.

Behavior tracking

A teacher can define target behaviors for the child to work on at school. A quick graphic rating system allows she and parents to track changes over time. Likewise, parents can define target behaviors to work on at home.

Homework

Teachers and parents can track a child's homework step by step, from assignment, through completion and being turned it. At a glance, you can tell whether this chain of events is unfolding on schedule to be completed by the due date. Or, the chain has broken and needs your attention.

Discussion

Using this forum, parents, teachers and I can exchange narrative information. Augmenting ratings and assignments with a description of antecedents and consequences of the behavior makes understanding how to help much easier. Sometimes homework needs elaboration, or kudos needs to be sent. A similar forum helps parents and I improve home behavior.

Grades

Here you can enter grades for assignments, tests, and quizzes. Grade averages are automatically computed.

Notification emails

Whenever there is a new entry, an email is automatically sent to other participants notifying them.

Note: my book is displayed because the concepts are applicable to a wide range of emotional and learning difficulties, I am in no way implying that any child using this service is ADHD
